Workshops and training

Voice and tone

When your brand sounds different depending on who wrote something (or which tool they used), it creates inconsistency that users notice and erodes trust.

This workshop helps teams how to use your brand’s voice and tone appropriately across channels, touchpoints and stages of the customer journey.

We’ll look at ways to identify what good looks like, how to write for different stages of your customer journey, and ways to document your voice and tone.

Great for: design teams and anyone writing product copy or working with AI writing tools.

Content design fundamentals

Good design solves problems, but if the content isn’t doing its job then even a well-designed experience can fall short.

This workshop introduces the principles of content design:

  • starting with user needs,

  • making evidence-based decisions about language and structure, and

  • understanding how writing is a design decision, not an afterthought.

When your team can think and work like content designers, they’ll create better-performing experiences for your users and customers.

Great for: product and UX designers, marketers and product teams.

Feature and product naming

Naming is hard, and finding a good name is even harder. A bad name makes confusion, support tickets and more work down the line. A good one makes something instantly understood: and easier to sell, document and scale.

This workshop works on a real naming challenge your business needs to solve, so you leave with something tangible - not just a methodology. As well as naming options, we’ll look at the steps needed to get the new name in place in your org and in the market.

Great for: product teams, product marketers and designers.

Content critique facilitation

Many teams don’t have a structured way to evaluate content quality, so decisions get made on gut feel or whoever speaks the loudest. A content crit can change that.

This workshop will run a live crit together, so your team experiences what good looks and feels like - and be ready to run your own. We’ll look at how to give feedback on content, how to facilitate a crit without it becoming subjective, and how to build a content critique into your regular design process.

Great for: design, content and product teams who want to build a stronger content culture.

Writing accessible content

The words in your product aren’t just copy, they’re part of the accessibility experience. Your choice of language can create barriers for users with visual, cognitive or motor impairments.

This workshop looks at how content decisions affect users, how to write clearly without losing accuracy or personality, and how to make accessible writing a habit rather than a last-minute check.

Great for: product designers, marketers and anyone writing user-facing copy.
