Talks and workshops
Design Matters
conference in Copenhagen:
June 2025
I planned, organised and ran a workshop that explored how to apply voice and tone principles in digital products.
I helped participants break down when—and how much—brand personality should be incorporated into digital interfaces while keeping content accessible and easy to use.
Through hands-on exercises, we practiced workshop techniques that help define and refine voice and tone in your product.
It was so much fun to see designers playing with words on pen and paper. No screens, just tone dials and fictional projects.
Been there, done that

content design conference: online, September 2024
I gave a talk at one of my dream conferences! Still not over that.
In this talk, I shared examples of how I and my team experimented with voice attributes in user research during my time at IKEA, including some examples of when it goes both right and wrong.
Participants learnt how to:
run workshop exercises for exploring voice and tone in a digital product
decide when to get non-content collaborators involved
set up content testing voice and tone in user research.
Nothing booked in just now. Let’s chat if you’ve got something going on and have a content design-shaped gap in your schedule.
